Christine Taylor Patten
Working in New Mexico on paper with a crow quill pen, Christine Taylor Patten makes heroic drawings ranging in scale from only several inches in both dimensions to as much as twenty four feet long. Delicate crosshatching creates meditative spaces and the artists's titles like, "What If War Were Not An Option" and "First We Must Want Peace Before We Can Have It", offer her audience a poetic vision.
Christine Taylor Patten has exhibited widely throughout the United States and Europe. Her pure compositions are in many private and public collections. She is the author of "Miss O'Keeffe" published in 1992 by the University of New Mexico Press. |
