Julia Bloom

Julia Bloom's paintings often focus on the study of found objects, most recently being a collection of bird nests. While deceptively simple in subject matter, Bloom’s paintings combine dramatic lighting with a rich, painterly surface in highly saturated colors creating small scale works with a large presence. Ms. Bloom exhibits in Washington, DC; Virginia; and Florida and has numerous works in American Residencies throughout the world through the US State Department’s Art in Embassies program.
